DVD43 is a free DVD decrypter that runs in the background and decrypts DVDs on the fly. It will decrypt (unlock) a movie DVD so that your copy program can read it. It is a pure decrypter, it does not alter the image of the original DVD and will not remove copy protection (other than CSS encryption) added to the DVD. If the DVD structure is non standard or the DVD contains bad sectors, your copy program needs to take care of that.

God when are they ever going to make a Vista 64 bit version? I am half tempted to wipe my Vista 64 OS back to XP Pro 32. Why because Vista Sucks period, let alone the 64 bit version. Yeah it looks nice, but has serious issues when it comes to wanting programs. I have a new HP laptop which I online game on. This laptop would be great if it was XP. It has more power then my old desktop, which was the maxed out 64bit single core AMD, on an Asus A7n8x Delux MB.
I need DVD43 to unlock my drive for Divx to convert movies straight from my dvd rom. Gah this is a complete nightmare. Let alone to get my 1Click DVD Copy Pro to run. Please hurry up and fix this.

    Sincerely,
    Doc_Avi38

During Boot I receive the message that DVD43 is not installed properly. Please reinstall. I did and I keep getting the same message. The tray icon is gray. I moved from a P4 to i7-920 on Asus P6T MB running Windows XP Home (32 bit). I read the DVD43 help where it says that it doesn't work with 64 bit s/w but does that mean it won't work with new MBs or what?
Point me in the right direction PLEASE.

    A fine piece of software!
Is there a version for Linux?
I like to have this in my NMT (PCH), this is much less hassle than anyDVD!

I was told that if you run it in compatability mode that it would work fine with Vista. I haven't tried it yet because I am waiting for my new machine with Vista on it.

    Anyone tried this

Thanks for the program. It's helped me a lot in setting up my media server. However, the last two new releases I purchased locked up my computer during a copy transfer to my hard drive. I tried your program on an XP machine and a Vista 32 machine and it locks up on both. The DVDs play fine normally. In all cases I show the green smiley face. Is this something new in the newer releases?

    Thx.

I keep getting this error message: DVD43 "The driver is inactive or not installed properly. please reinstall DVD43 to enable dvd driver". I have uninstalled and reinstalled but keep getting the same error. I have Vista 32 bit and have used DVD 43 for years and just now having this problem. Any advice on how to fix it would be great!

I recently had to reinstall Windows XP. I have used DVD43 in the past without incident so I downloaded version 4.40. This morning when I turned on my PC I got a message stating " a serious error had occurred" and the source was caused by DVD43's DVD43LLH.SYS file. I rebooted and everything appears to be o.k. for the moment. Has anyone else had this error message? How concerned should I be? Do the DVD43 folks have a comment or fix? I would appreciate any info. Thanks

Have just downloaded DVD FAB 5 and used the Platinum version (free for 30 days). Worked beautifully on my Vista 64 bit system. I would have preferred DVD 43, but not available in a 64 bit version.
I will have to pay in 30 days for FAB 5 Platinum, but it's worth it. Too bad that DVD43 wouldn't develop a Vista 64 bit version.

    I have a question!
I used dvd43 for a long time now and it works perfectly!
But now I have a Sony laptop which has a Mashusita DVD drive and here it does not work.
The regular balloons come up saying that everything is okay but then the drive says it can not play the DVD due to region incompatability!
    Cab anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Bert
